How To Spend National Friendship Day

National Friendship Day is fast approaching! That’s right—there’s a whole day dedicated to celebrating your favorite pals.
And even though we don’t need a national day to remind us to show those we love our appreciation, we definitely won’t pass on an extra opportunity to bask in all our favorite friend-time activities.
So if you were to have the ultimate Friendship Day, what would that look like? In the spirit of the holiday, we thought we’d put together our own list on how we would spend our ultimate mates date.
Hit the sand! What kind of Friendship Day in NYC would it be without a bit of sand and sun? We might be New Yorkers, but that doesn’t mean we don’t love the feeling of grainy sand between our toes. So load up that beach bag with a few essentials and catch the A train (or the new ferry!) to the very end of the line, and voilá! You’re at the Rockaways. And hey, that hour subway ride won’t feel so bad because you’ll be catching up on things with your friend.
Frisbee and a picnic. Frisbee is great with just one friend or with a group. A frisbee is easy to travel with and it’s somehow incredibly engrossing. Before you know it, 30 minutes have passed, you’ve worked up a bit of a sweat and the munchies start to creep in. And that’s when refreshing cucumber comes into play! A little spritz of a soothing, hydrating cucumber toning mist like our RE: FRESH Organic Toning Mist and a wholesome vegan homemade tzatziki sauce with crackers always hits the spot.
Movie and a mask. As the day nears its end, there’s nothing sweeter than sitting back with friends, watching a movie and unwinding. Dial up the dialing down a few notches by applying nourishing face masks, giving everyone’s skin the soothing rejuvenation it craves. Our MATCHA Antioxidant Face Mask combines antioxidant-fueled, organic, fair-trade matcha tea with white clay and soothing chamomile to help invigorate your skin and calm you down at the same time.
Come to think of it, there’s nothing stopping us from making this a regular addition to our friend-time catch ups… How about you?
