PLANT Apothecary Recap: Indie Beauty Expo Dallas
We are just over a week out from our very first Indie Beauty Expo and we’re excited to share our highlights with you!
Indie Beauty Expo is an incredible community to be a part of. It was founded by celebrity esthetician and veteran of the beauty industry Jillian Wright along with entrepreneur and management expert Nader Naeymi-Rad. They debuted their first expo in New York City in 2005 after creating IBE with the intention of providing a solution to market-ready indie brands. IBE now runs its three-day brand, buyer, shopper and press trade show in North America’s three top retail markets; NYC, LA and Dallas, and has helped hundreds of brands with their journey towards commercial success.

Upon walking through the gradient purple, pink and blue doors, we were met with an encompassing buzz of hope, high spirits and indie brand comradery.
We met and spoke with many incredible people in the industry and had the chance to spread our mission with new and enthusiastic customers. We were excited to meet with some passionate green beauty bloggers that we have been following for some time; Sammie Kolk of HulloSam, Amanda Reade of A Beautiful Pursuit, Jeleesa Charisse, Molly from MaisonPur, Tiffany DeSilva, Constance Cash from TeamNatural and finally had the chance to put a face to the name of Suzi from Gurl Gone Green and Lisa from This Organic Girl.
We were over the moon to hear such positive encouragement and interest for our package design, mission and organic bath and skin care line.
Our SUPERFACIAL Organic Moisturizer, MATCHA Antioxidant Face Mask and GET HAPPY Body Wash were the stars of the show, and we were pleased to show off our newest item to our product line; our GROUND CONTROL Organic Body Oil.
We want to give a huge thank you to Jillian and the entire team at IBE for putting on such an inspiring, powerful and helpful event. We are incredibly grateful for the sense of community that they have created, their advice throughout the show and for their ongoing support of indie beauty brands.
We had an incredible time in Dallas at IBE, and managed to do it all with just two suitcases It’s safe to say we can’t wait for the next IBE to be hosted in our home city of New York over August 22-24.
