The Newest Addition to the PLANT Family: RESET Organic Oil-Free Makeup Remover!
We have some exciting news! The PLANT Apothecary team is welcoming a new product to the family (and to our product line)! ?
Introducing RESET Organic Oil-Free Makeup Remover
RESET is the makeup remover (friend) your skin has been waiting for. It’s all natural, with no synthetic nasties, it’s gentle on sensitive skin, and it can remove even the most stubborn waterproof makeup. And, it removes eye makeup without loosening eyelash extensions! Basically, RESET has your back. (Well, it actually has your face, but you get what we mean.)
It comes in a TSA-approved size, so you can RESET while you’re out of town, or while you bust through a handful of movies on the plane. And we used a non-leaking, twist-open cap to allow you to adjust how much you’d like to come out at a time.
Like for all of our products that are in plastic, we chose environmentally friendly PET plastic for the bottle. It keeps the product safe by not leaching any chemicals into it, while also protecting the earth by being infinitely and easily recyclable. You can read more about that here.
Key ingredients are organic geranium and lemongrass hydrosols, organic aloe vera juice and super-gentle, moisturizing organic glycerine.
Geranium is one of our favorite ingredients, due to its natural ability to uplift the senses while also toning and restoring skin. It is naturally astringent, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial, making it the perfect ingredient for cleansing, rejuvenating and healing skin. We use geranium oil in our SUPERFACIAL face oils for all these same reasons.
Like geranium, lemongrass is also naturally antibacterial and anti-inflammatory. We particularly love lemongrass for its refreshing, uplifting aroma and—so we use it both in our RE: FRESH Organic Toning Mist as well as SUPER SOAK Organic Healing Bath.
How to use
To remove eye makeup, simply squeeze a small amount of RESET onto a cotton pad or your fingers and wipe around the eye region, being careful not to get it directly in your eyes. (It won’t cause any harm if it does get in your eyes, and for most people it doesn’t even sting—but nothing is really meant to be in our eyes except our natural tears, so we don’t recommend it.)
To remove the remainder of your face makeup, squeeze a larger amount of RESET onto a cotton pad and use that to wipe the makeup away.
Rinse with water afterward if you like, but it’s not absolutely necessary. Remaining product is unlikely to cause irritation. But if you haven’t cleansed your skin beforehand, we recommend following up with a gentle cleanser like our RICE & CLEAN.
