Declutter by repurposing your PLANT bottles this fall
Fall is just around the corner, and with a new season often comes the desire to start fresh. Maybe for you it’s about revamping your natural beauty routine or your sleeping patterns, or cleaning out the fridge and starting fresh with tons of fruit and veggies—or maybe it’s just a general declutter of your home and personal space.
After all, it doesn’t have to be spring to do “spring” cleaning—you can do it in the fall, too!
Part of our seasonal cleaning routine is getting rid of any old food storage containers and bottles we have lying around. But as environmentally conscious beings, we often wage an inner battle between wanting to declutter and feeling guilty about throwing things into the recycling abyss.
So with that in mind, here are some handy tips for repurposing—instead of recycling—your old containers, including your emptied PLANT ones.
Before we get into it, you may be asking why we don’t just use glass for all our products to save from having to throw away plastic. You can read more about that here, but in short we use environmentally-friendly PET plastic for some products to avoid the risk of having broken glass in the shower or bathtub. So if repurposing our body wash bottles isn’t for you, you can rest easy knowing that we aren’t using the worst plastic out there.
But if a little repurposing is up your alley, we have some suggestions!
Camping and Picnics. We like to use our empty mini bottles for condiments! Next time you’re planning camping trip or a picnic, you don’t have to worry about traveling with large bottles of sauce and dressing. Plus, ours are non-leaking—so you’re not only saving space but you’re also saving yourself from the potential of an accidental mess in your bag.
Cooking. And here’s a thought: Buy spices in bulk, then store them in convenient little mini bottles in your cabinet for easy access. You could even get a little creative and keep rosemary in an empty WAKE UP Body Wash bottle!
Dishes. Our 9.5 oz body wash bottles work great refilled with dish soap you’ve bought in bulk!
So now that you’re equipped with our tips for repurposing our bottles, you can can get back to other important things like jumping through the fall leaves.
